Raaya is a public health researcher who is passionate about health equity and delivering impactful research. Before taking on her role as a Research Associate, Raaya worked as a Research Administrator with NAL for nearly 2 years. She has a diverse set of interests, having worked on projects among several research areas including paediatric hearing loss, adult hearing loss and hearing and human behaviour. Beyond the scope of hearing research, Raaya has also been involved in mental health and substance use research with LGBTQA+ youth, to inform the development of appropriate prevention tools and resources.
She has also worked for several years in medical administration and patient services where she developed an interest in public health and research.
