NAL-NL3 Now Available in MedRx Verification and Test Systems

National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL) is pleased to announce that the NAL-NL3 fitting system is now integrated into MedRx Studio Software v1.3.2, providing hearing care professionals with earlier access to NAL’s next-generation, evidence-based fitting system.

This marks one of the first global implementations of NAL-NL3 within a verification and test ecosystem. The integration reflects a longstanding collaboration between NAL, MedRx, and the broader Demant Group, demonstrating how translational research and industry partnership accelerate access to advanced clinical tools that support people with hearing difficulties.

Advancing clinical outcomes with next-generation fitting technology

Developed by NAL’s world-leading researchers, the NAL-NL3 fitting system represents a significant evolution in hearing-aid fitting prescriptions. Using modern behavioural data, updated modelling, and real-world evidence, NAL-NL3 delivers more precise and personalised fitting targets to improve speech intelligibility and listening comfort.

Within MedRx systems, clinicians can now:

  • Access the NAL-NL3 fitting system directly within MedRx Studio v1.3.2
  • Verify fittings to NAL-NL3 targets using REM/LSM
  • Confirm device performance with HIT
  • Use NAL-NL3 across MedRx AVANT HIT+, AVANT REM+, AVANT ARC, WREM and AWRC systems

This integration allows clinicians using MedRx equipment to adopt evidence-based best practice with minimal workflow change.

Strengthening research translation through collaboration

This integration highlights how NAL’s translational research, combined with MedRx’s commitment to advanced clinical instrumentation, helps bring next-generation tools into clinical practice sooner.

“This makes MedRx the first verification system globally to integrate and offer the NAL-NL3 fitting system, including the two new modules for special use cases. Clinicians now have access to the most advanced fitting system available today, helping them deliver even better outcomes for people with hearing difficulties.”
