Xiaoyin Shang is the Head of Strategy and Innovation at NAL and a Board Director of Audiology Australia. Xiaoyin has a passion for combining research, innovation, business practice and strategic planning to deliver translational impact. A former clinician, clinic manager who is also a founder and mentor deeply immersed in the start-up ecosystem with a mind of a serial innovator. Xiaoyin commercialised nano-particle research into everyday project in her first venture and created a disruption in the supply chain of food containers in her second venture. Xiaoyin won the HULT prize campus and regional competition in 2020 and became a campus director of HULT in 2021. Xiaoyin is a strong advocate for women in leadership, intrapreneurship and healthcare innovation.

Xiaoyin leads the NAL innovation agenda, manages NAL’s brand, communications, and builds capabilities to advance in strategic priorities with a focus on translational impact.
