Presented by Dr Jorge Mejia

Dr Jorge Mejia completed a BEng and Computer Science degree from the Queensland University of Technology in 1999. He continued his post-graduate studies and completed a Diploma in Control Engineering, and subsequently a Masters in Computer Science in 2003, graduating with high honours. In 2010 Jorge completed his PhD at The University of Sydney, working on binaural hearing and hearing aid algorithms. Jorge has been involved with the hearing aid industry since 2002. Jorge’s current research is focused on the psycho-acoustics of hearing as well as development and prototyping of bilateral beamformers for hearing aids, cochlear implants, earmuffs and assistive listening technology applications.
