Your opportunity

As a Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing innovative digital tools that support people with hearing loss. Joining the Signal Processing department, your primary focus will be to build and refine full-stack applications while also implementing cutting-edge AI techniques – including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) – into hearing health tech products.

This is a great opportunity to apply and further develop your skills in web development and applied AI, while contributing to meaningful technology with real-world impact.

Key responsibilities include the following:

    • Implement AI features, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to enhance interactivity and personalisation in our tools.
    • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using React and Node.js
    • Collaborate on feature development, contributing to the development of backend services and frontend components.
    • Deliver high-quality web and mobile applications across smart technology and product development portfolios.
    • Participate in the full product lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to testing and deployment.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, sharing expertise and learning from others to drive innovation.
    • Maintain and improve existing software products, ensuring security, reliability, and adaptability to evolving technologies

What you’ll bring:

    • Hands-on experience implementing AI frameworks, particularly Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and integrating AI technologies, ideally using OpenAI GPT, in production environments.
    • Proven experience developing full-stack web applications using React (frontend) and Node.js (backend).
    • Strong knowledge of MongoDB; familiarity with PostgreSQL is a plus.
    • Experience deploying applications using Azure; exposure to Google Firebase or AWS is beneficial.
    • Solid understanding of Git version control, software documentation, and testing best practices.
    • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
    • Willingness to learn with a genuine interest in AI and cloud services, and emerging technologies.
    • Detail-oriented and collaborative team player.
