Catherine Kwok
Catherine Kwok is a Research Audiologist at NAL, committed to innovation and translational research that strengthens person-centred audiological care. A highlight of her time at NAL has been contributing to the development of NAL-NL3 Fitting System and supporting its translation into clinical practice. Her research also focuses on subclinical hearing difficulties, AI-supported audiology training (NAL-Virtual Personas), and improving access to speech cues for vocal emotion recognition.

Projects
The aim of the research was to gather information that can help us to define what a ‘perceived’ hearing loss is, to help make sure hearing aids are targeted towards those people who are most likely to benefit.
This project aimed to create a diagnostic tool to identify individuals who have normal or nearly normal hearing, but still struggle to hear in noise.
