Daniela holds a Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Science (2008) and Master of Clinical Audiology (2010) from Macquarie University and was awarded a first-place prize in advanced hearing technology. She began her audiology career at Hearing Australia and was instrumental in the opening of the Australian Hearing Hub at Macquarie University, where she specialised in Paediatrics.
Daniela then worked in various independent diagnostics and vestibular hearing clinics in Sydney where she also gained significant experience in implantable devices. In 2016 she joined Cochlear Ltd and over the following 7.5 years was fortunate to work in both clinical education and support as well as an account management role, the latter focused on managing the Hearing Australia and NAL account, identifying and growing clinical, business and research relationships that result in optimal patient outcomes and commercial growth. In late 2023, Daniela relocated to Brisbane with her family and joined the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, supporting the ANCHOR research project prior to then accepting a position at the University of Queensland as a project manager, managing a multi-million-dollar MRFF grant within the Faculty of Medicine in Digital Health that aims to develop national real-time clinical AI infrastructure to be implemented within hospitals to predict sepsis and clinical deterioration, enhancing clinical care and saving lives.
Daniela also holds qualifications in PRINCE2 Agile Foundation and Practitioner and is a guest lecturer at the University of Queensland, Audiology Department.
