LiSN & Learn

The LiSN & Learn auditory training software, developed at NAL, is designed to remediate spatial processing disorders (SPD). Children diagnosed with SPD have difficulty understanding speech in noise, even though their hearing thresholds are normal. The software incorporates five training games, as well as a number of reward and motivational features including an avatar or 'buddy', which the children design themselves and which appears throughout the games. Our studies have shown that SPD is reversible with training on the LiSN & Learn.
