Reduction of Wind Noise in Hearing Aids

(Research Project HA 00.1)

Project Leader: Harvey Dillon, Australian Hearing

Broad Objectives: To devise mechanical, acoustic or electronic means of reducing the effect of wind noise on the performance of hearing aids.

Hypothesis:

That the degradation of hearing aid performance caused by the interaction between the hearing aid and any airflow present in the environment can be reduced by mechanical, acoustical, or electronic modifications to the hearing aid.
