Broad Objectives: To devise a series of microphones with the following features:

*Closer matched devices than conventional hearing aid microphones for array work.

* Higher sensitivity and highly reproducible frequency response than current studio / laboratory microphones through the use of a multiple diaphragm microphone.

*Higher sensitivity than current hearing aid microphones for better signal to internal noise ratio, achieved with stacked diaphragms.
